routeRANK offers custom developed versions of its proprietary software to corporate customers and organizations, for their internal use or use on their own website.
For example, the Swiss government has contracted routeRANK for the travel planning of the Swiss administration. To see another custom version, visit the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Travel Helper, powered by routeRANK. Nokia Green Explorer has also chosen us to provide travel information. You may see an example of this functionality when you are signed in on Green Explorer and you visit one of the popular destination travel pages.
For customized versions building on its patent-pending technology, routeRANK offers various optional features. These include:
To try out more of these additional features you may also register for the private routeRANK.
In addition to travel, routeRANK can be applied to logistical problems. Specifically, it can be used to optimize the transport route of goods by taking into account the entire route, as well as considering different means of transport. routeRANK thereby allows similar time savings in the planning process, as well as time, price or CO2 emissions savings in the actual transport.
In his Master thesis “How much time, money and CO2 emissions could routeRANK save a typical travel planner?” a former Masters student at the Statistical Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, finds that 'a typical user could stand to save around 35% when using routeRANK as well as around 2½ hours in research time'.
Together with the many prizes and awards, these results are a testament to routeRANK’s technology and it's ability to find the cheapest, fastest and most ecological route with little planning time.
